Hello

Everyone Is an Artist—Yes, Even You

Hi, I’m Kathy Lynott, and I am passionate about personal creativity, self-expression, and the benefits of engaging with art—whether through making it or simply appreciating it. Creativity isn’t just for “artists.” It’s for everyone, and it has a profound impact on mental health, problem-solving, and community connection.

I’ve seen it firsthand as an afterschool teacher, in an alternative high school, and as a case manager at a shelter for pregnant and parenting youth. Creative expression made conversations easier, helped people process emotions, and built stronger connections.

I share insights on the benefits of creativity, how to make space for creative exploration, and why art is essential for personal growth and well-being. I’m also working on a book about how embracing creativity—whether through painting, writing, movement, or other forms—leads to lasting benefits for individuals and communities.

Beyond this work, I’m a homeschooling mom to a kid with special needs, which has reinforced my belief that one-size-fits-all approaches don’t work—and that individual differences should be honored and protected.

If you’re looking for ways to reconnect with creativity, build confidence in self-expression, or simply explore the impact of art on life and well-being, you’re in the right place.

Let’s create something meaningful together.
